Position: Locum Debt Recovery Lawyer
Organisation: Midlands based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months initial contract with the likelihood of extension thereafter
Working Pattern: Full Time
Working Arrangement: Predominantly Remote Working – attending court/office on occasion
Hourly Rate: up to £55 per hour Umbrella
Skill level: Qualified Lawyer (Solicitors, Barristers and Newley Qualified Solicitors)
 
The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a Local Authority with a strong working knowledge and experience of Debt Recovery matters, notably Service Charge Debt matters.
 
Duties may include:

• Providing Debt Recovery advice as required and managing a full and varied case load of these types of Debt including high value Debts
• Completing Debt Recovery negotiations in a wide range of highly complex statutory Debt Recovery cases
• Issuing court proceedings to recover Debts, drafting court documents and undertaking enforcement proceedings against judgment debtors
