Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer to join a respected local authority legal service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing litigation professional seeking a flexible position.
Main duties may include:- Manage a full caseload of housing litigation matters
- Defend housing disrepair claims from initial instruction to final resolution
- Instruct, manage, and liaise with expert witnesses throughout the evidence-gathering process
- Review expert reports, draft responses, and conduct comprehensive liability assessments
- Advise clients on case strategy, liability, and settlement options
- Manage litigated cases, including drafting defences and all court documents up to hearing
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx with strong experience in housing litigation
- Proven ability to manage a busy and varied caseload independently
- Experience of local authority housing work is highly desirable
