Position: Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer
Organisation: East Midlands based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months +
Working Hours: Part Time (3 days)
Working Arrangement: Predominantly Remote Working, attending court on occasion
Hourly Rate: Up to £60 Umbrella (Dependent on experience)
The Local Authority is ideally looking for a candidate who has prior experience in handling
Civil Litigation matters on behalf of Local Authorities.
Duties may include:
- Manage Civil Litigation cases at all stages of Pre-Litigation/Litigation
- Ensure compliance with the Civil Litigation Pre-Action Protocol
- Ensure compliance with GDPR by overseeing data protection policies and practices
- Represent the Council in Court and conduct advocacy where appropriate in mainly remote hearings with some Court attendance required
