£58,225 - £67,468 per annum, reduced pro-rata for part time working

Department

Legal Services which includes the Information Governance and Insurance Office sits within the University Secretary’s Office and is part of Professional Services. The legal team is a small friendly team of five lawyers and a legal services co-ordinator and provides a supportive environment.

Role

We are looking for a lawyer with significant experience practising employment law who can manage high profile cases and develop a constructive relationship with HR.  The role will require someone who can work independently, manage a variety of work and deliver economies in providing a service to HR.  Additionally, due to the fluctuation in employment work volumes, we are looking for someone prepared to learn and advise on student complaints or litigation as required.  

Skills, Experience & Qualification needed

Significant experience as a Lawyer working in an employment law field, with a range of legal skills and able to apply them widely and has confidence in their own ability to investigate areas of law unfamiliar to them and work independently.
