Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer

Vivid Resourcing are currently working in partnership with a well-established Local Authority in the South West who are looking to appoint an experienced Locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to support their legal services team on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive authority with a well-structured legal team, offering flexible working arrangements and a fully remote setup.

Role Details:

• Start: Within the next 4 weeks

• Caseload: You will manage a varied adult social care caseload, including advising on matters under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, safeguarding, ordinary residence disputes, deprivation of liberty safeguards, and providing general legal advice to adult social care teams and stakeholders

• Hours: 36 hours per week, with flexibility and openness to condensed hours

• Duration: Initial 6-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension due to ongoing workload

• Working Arrangement: Fully remote

About You:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive

• Previous experience working within a Local Authority is highly desirable

• Comfortable managing an adult social care caseload with minimal supervision

• Able to provide pragmatic, solution-focused advice in a fast-paced environment
