Litigation Solicitor - North Lincolnshire (Local Authority role)
Maternity Cover (9-12 Month Contract)
Rate negotiable (Indicate rate sought - Umbrella)
37 hours per week
We are looking for a Solicitor who can support Legal Services Team within the Council on all litigation matters across the Council.
The successful candidate:-
- Will be a qualified solicitor with the SRA
- Will have experience of dealing with a wide range of local authority litigation matters.
- Will be able to work independent and within a team
- Will possess excellent communication skills.
- Be able to provide expert legal advice across a range of litigation matters
- Represent the council in court proceedings, tribunals, and hearings
- Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence
- Support junior colleagues within legal services
- Support internal departments with the management of risk and compliance
- Collaborate with external counsel and stakeholders as needed
- Be able to manage the litigation case load within legal services
