Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer - West Northamptonshire (Local Authority)
Contract role, intially 3-6 months
Rate: Negotiable, Indicate rate sought
37 hours per week
Location - One Angel Square / Home working - one day in the office when required for Advocacy
Attend court, negotiate and conduct your own advocacy
- Undertake a caseload of Adult Social Care matters.
- Provide detailed and accurate advice on the Council’s responsibilities under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Health and Social Care Act 2008 and Mental Health Act 1983.
- Provide legal advice and support across a broad range of areas including Ordinary Residence, safeguarding, provider failure S117 aftercare.
- Submit applications to the Court of Protection and high Court e.g COP applications for Deputyship, welfare and best interests, DOL, S21a challenges, JR and inherent jurisdiction.
