Job Description:

Prosecutions Solicitor

Cardiff (Local Authority role)

Initial 3-6 month contract

Rate: Umbrella, negotiable

 

37 hours per week

 

The post holder’s main responsibilities will be those of a litigation solicitor, with an emphasis on criminal regulatory prosecutions, but may also include the ability to get involved with other areas of work relating to litigation, subject to the applicant’s experience, career interests, and workload capacity.

 

The role includes giving advice in relation to technical areas of criminal law, policy, governance, and the Council’s functions; conducting litigation; and where necessary and appropriate appearing as advocate for the Council in Court
