Locum Planning Lawyer – Part Time (15 hours per week) – Up to £60 per hour umbrella – Remote Working – Initial 3 months
 
Venn Group’s specialist Legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Planning Lawyer to join a Local Authority on an initial 3-month assignment, with the possibility for extension. The role offers remote working arrangements, and is an excellent opportunity for a Planning Lawyer to join a friendly Local Authority on a part-time basis.
 
The Role:
Position: Locum Planning Lawyer
Duration: Initial 3 months with the possibility for extension
Rate: Up to £60 per hour umbrella
Working Pattern: Part Time – 15 hours per week
Onsite Requirement: Ability to attend a monthly planning committee in the Midlands is desirable but not essential
 
Duties will include:
• Supporting on Section 106 agreements with matters varying in complexity
• Advise and support on enforcement matters  
• Draft and advise on Deeds of Variations and any other related matters
• Supporting internal departments and stakeholders with planning law queries
 
Ideal Candidate:
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with recent local government or public sector experience
• Strong working knowledge of planning law with a Local Authority setting
• Ability to manage workloads flexibly within a part-time arrangement
