Locum Information Governance Officer to join a
Local Authority on an
initial 3-month assignment. The role offers
fully remote working arrangements and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Information Governance professional to support a busy team.
The Role:Position: Locum Information Governance Officer
Duration: Initial 3 months with the possibility for extension
Rate: Up to £30 per hour umbrella
Working Pattern: Full Time, Remote working
Duties will include:• Ensuring all
Information Requests are managed and resolved within statutory timeframes
• Handling
Data Protection requests,
Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, and
Subject Access Requests (SARs)• Managing requests primarily relating to
childcare and social care matters• Liaising with internal departments to obtain information and ensure timely responses
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation
Ideal Candidate:• Proven experience working in an
Information Governance role within a public sector or local authority setting
• Strong working knowledge of
Data Protection legislation,
FOI, and
SAR processes• Experience handling sensitive childcare and social care information
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
