Job Description:

Senior Highways & Litigation Lawyer – Locum -  Local Authority – South West – Full Time – Remote Working - £55 Umbrella

Venn Group is pleased to be assisting an established Local Authority in the South West which is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Highways & Litigation Lawyer to join its team on an interim basis, starting as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and friendly team. Working alongside others, you will be handling a varied caseload focused on highways and PROW matters on behalf of the Council and a National Park authority. This will include advising on unauthorised encampments, obstructions of the highway, landslips and wall collapses adjacent to the highway, stopping ups and prosecutions under the Highways Act 1980. Strong experience in these areas is required. As it could also involve advising on general civil and criminal litigation matters, candidates should be willing to learn new areas of law to be able to provide fast-paced legal advice on a range of topics.

For this role, candidates must be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with previous Local Authority experience, preferably at county level. Applications are welcomed from both full and part-time candidates.

An hourly rate of up to £55 via umbrella is offered for this position. This position can be worked remotely.

For more information, or to discuss other legal opportunities, please contact Charlotte Foley or Michael Attwood on 0117 930 8760 in the first instance. Alternatively, email cfoley@venngroup.com including a copy of your CV and a member of the team will be in touch to discuss.

Venn Group is an equal opportunities employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates. All salaries and PQE ranges stated serve only as a guide and all applicants will be considered on their individual merits.
