Locum Corporate Lawyer – Part Time (2–3 days per week) – Up to £70 per hour Outside IR35 – Remote Working – Initial 4 months
 
Venn Group’s specialist Legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Corporate Lawyer to join a Local Authority on an initial 4-month assignment. This role offers fully remote working arrangements (other than collecting equipment) and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Corporate Lawyer to provide specialist support on a range of business transactions.
 
The Role:
Position: Locum Corporate Lawyer
Duration: Initial 4 months with the possibility for extension
Rate: Up to £70 per hour Outside IR35
Working Pattern: Part Time, 2–3 days per week (can do Full Time if needed)
 
Duties will include:
• Assisting with the sale of businesses and transfer of business operations
• Advising on corporate structure, issues, and warranties
• Drafting and reviewing transactional and contractual documentation
• Providing commercial and corporate advice to senior stakeholders
• Supporting the wider legal team with related corporate and governance matters
 
Ideal Candidate:
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with experience in corporate and commercial law
• Previous local government or public sector experience desirable but not essential
• Strong transactional and advisory skills, with experience handling complex corporate matters
