Vivid Resourcing are working with a local authority in the East Midlands to source a locum employment solicitor to join their team.
The role will be covering a wide variety of the authorities employment matters including disability claims, unfair dismissal, etc and will be looking for someone to start in the next 4 weeks. It can be worked on a part-time or full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting a high standard of Employment work and have TUPE knowledge
- Providing advice to Senior Managers in Council departments and other Officers and staff in HR on a wide range of employment law issues and claims made against the Authority
- Conducting a caseload which may include claims relating to Sex discrimination, Race Discrimination, Unfair Dismissal, Constructive Dismissal, Disability Discrimination, Age Discrimination and Redundancy
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor
- Previous employment law experience
Desirable:
- Previous local authority experience
- Ability to attend court
- Education law experience
