Locum Education Lawyer – London Borough  –  Competitive rate – once a week office attendance

Locum Education Lawyer
Up to £50 per hour umbrella
London Borough
3 months initially, with a very high likelihood of extension
36 hours per week, 1 day per week office attendance

Venn Group is working with a brilliant local authority in the South East in their search for a Education Lawyer on a locum basis for an initial 3 month period.
Requirements:

• A valid practising certificate in England as a Solicitor or Barrister
• Specialism within Education, specifically SEND and evidence of practising this post-qualification
• Experience working within local authorities, or for a public sector organisation

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Possess an expert knowledge and understanding of law and legislation relating to education
• Attend tribunals and hearings on behalf of the Borough as appropriate
• Train and mentor junior lawyers / paralegals as appropriate
