Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Full Time – Up to £60 per hour umbrella – Remote – Initial 3 months
 
Venn Group’s specialist Legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join a Local Authority on an initial 3-month basis. The role offers remote working and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Lawyer to support a busy Local Authority legal team.
 
The Role:
Position: Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer
Duration: Initial 3 months with the possibility of extension
Rate: Up to £60 per hour umbrella
 
Duties will include:
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts
• Providing advice on procurement matters
• Advising on subsidy control issues and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Assisting the wider legal team with any other related commercial matters
 
Ideal Candidate:
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with recent Local Government or Public Sector experience
• Strong working knowledge of commercial and procurement law
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
