Locum Planning Lawyer – Full Time – Remote Working – Up to £60 per hour umbrella
 
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently recruiting for a Locum Planning Lawyer to join a Local Authority in the Southeast on a hybrid/remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive team and take on a varied caseload of planning matters, with the option to incorporate highways work if desired.
 
The Role:
Position: Locum Planning Lawyer
Location: Remote working – ability to attend the office in the South East is desirable but not essential
Duration: Initial 3+ months with the possibility for extension
Rate: Up to £60 per hour umbrella
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a varied caseload of Planning matters, with some Highways work available if desired
• Support with outsourced legal work as required
• Liaise with Planning Officers to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and statutory duties

 
About You:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive with significant planning law experience
• Strong background in drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements within a Local Authority setting
• Excellent communication skills and confident in managing a varied caseload
• Ability to attend Planning Committees is desirable but not essential
