About your new role

We are currently recruiting across all our locations for Solicitors, Associates, Principal Associates and Legal Directors.

Our Healthcare team is a vibrant specialist department. We provide advice on all aspects of healthcare law, including clinical negligence claims and healthcare regulation. We work for great clients which include NHS bodies, medical indemnifiers, private hospitals, clinics, care homes, individual clinicians and insurers. The ethos of the team is to work hard for our clients so that we secure the right outcome for them. In so doing, we improve our technical skills and enhance our ability to meet the clients’ needs as they evolve. The healthcare sector is fast moving. You will be joining a dynamic and growing team, working on top quality work and helping to develop our practice. We pride ourselves on having excellent opportunities for progression alongside a flexible working culture.

The exact specifics of your role would be dependent on your own experience and background.

Main duties and responsibilities could include:

  • Case management – pre litigation and litigated work
  • Conducting or assisting on claims or other work
  • Drafting pleadings and advice
  • Advocacy / attending court
  • Adhering to internal and client SLAs and KPIs
  • Supervision and mentoring
  • Client relationship management
  • Business development
  • Client secondments
  • MI completion
  • Achieving operational targets

This list is not intended to be exhaustive and you will be expected to perform other duties and have other responsibilities that fall within the wider remit of your role.

About You

You will be a qualified solicitor. We are also looking for the following:

  • Clinical negligence defendant experience
  • Knowledge of CPR and solid claims handling experience
  • Strong technical ability
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills
  • Analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills
  • Good time management
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Computer literacy
