Locum Planning Lawyer (S106 Specialist) – Part Time – Local Authority – up to £60 per hour – Fully Remote – Initial 3 months+ Venn Group’s specialist legal team is currently working with a Local Authority who are seeking an experienced
Locum Planning Lawyer to join their Planning team on a part-time basis.
The Role:- Position: Locum Planning Lawyer – Section 106 Specialist
- Rate: Up to £60 per hour (Umbrella)
- Duration: Initial 3 months with the possibility of extension
- Location: Fully Remote Working
- Hours: Part Time (18 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and negotiating complex Section 106 agreements
- Providing clear, practical advice on a wide range of planning and development matters
- Supporting the planning team on applications and strategic planning projects
- Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate timely completion of agreements
About You:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with significant planning law experience
- Strong background in drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements within a local authority context
- Ability to provide pragmatic, solution-focused legal advice
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working independently in a remote environment
