Childcare Lawyer
North Northamptonshire Council
initially 3-6 Month contract
 

• 37 hours per week, hourly rate negotiable (Umbrella)
• Remote but with court attendance when required
• We are looking for a full time, experienced and qualified lawyer who will be able to attend court to carry out their own advocacy

Essential Experience in the following areas of work:

1. Provide general and specialist childcare advice on behalf of the Council to clients, colleagues and elected members and senior officers.
2. Manage a caseload in relation to the full range child protection cases, including attendance at court and tribunals undertaking advocacy where required.
3. Advising on policy, strategy and procedures relating to childcare issues.
4. Effective management of competing demands and tight deadlines.
5. Flexible, positive can-do approach to managing change and work demands.
