Locum Adult Social Care Solicitor – Local Authority (South East)

Vivid Resourcing are currently partnering with a Local Authority in the South East seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor to join their Legal Services team on a locum basis.

Key Details:

• Contract Length: 6 months initial (likely extension)

• Working Arrangement: Fully remote

• Start Date: Within the next 4 weeks

• Rate: Above market rate, dependent on experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of adult social care law, including:

  • Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Court of Protection matters

  • Care Act 2014 and community care issues

  • Ordinary residence and funding disputes

  • Safeguarding adults and deprivation of liberty cases

• Manage a varied caseload independently, offering practical and solutions-focused advice to client departments.

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx).

• Demonstrable experience in adult social care law within a local government setting.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
