Sellick Partnership are delighted to be working with a valued, vibrant and forward- thinking public sector organisation based in Yorkshire who are seeking a Commercial and Procurement Lawyer to join them on a fixed-term contract.
The role will be hugely diverse, dealing with a range of commercial projects, helping to shape the region!
About the Commercial and Procurement Lawyer role:
The successful Lawyer will have had previous experience with dealing with commercial contracts and public procurement.
This Commercial and Procurement Lawyer role will provide you with the opportunity to grow and challenge yourself by dealing with major projects, complex contracts and much more.
The successful Commercial and Procurement Lawyer will be responsible for the following duties:
Drafting high value/risk and complex commercial contract documentation for (but not restricted) to construction and infrastructure projects, subsidised transport schemes, major IT hardware and software purchases, regeneration and energy projects, consultancy arrangements, framework agreements and all other procurements for goods and services
Providing advice and assistance in relation to contract disputes and dispute resolution
Advising on the implementation and interpretation of Public Procurement Regulations, the organisation's standing orders, tender procedure and all other relevant statutory legislation to ensure legal compliance at all times
Working closely with the organisation's Commercial Service, advising on the commercial aspects of all procurements

Experience required:
Our client is keen to hear from candidates with a minimum of 2-3 years PQE. Experience in the public sector and relevant areas of law are preferred, though our client is keen to hear from candidates with transferrable experience from other sectors with an ambition to learn and develop within a public sector organisation.
