Job Description:

Role: Legal Contract Support
Contracting Authority: Home Office
Contract Length: 12 months
Location: Travel to and from workshops will be required / Onsite at any HO Location 2-3 days a week
Pay Rate: circa £500 / per day Umbrella
Security Clearance: Active SC clearance required.

  • Contract & Legal Support
  • Assist in the review and assimilation of legal correspondence and documentation related to regulatory and contractual matters.
  • Support the coordination and delivery of responses to external bodies (e.g., CMA), ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Manage document disclosure and review processes in collaboration with legal advisors.
  • Procurement & Governance
  • Lead the procurement process for legal services contracts, ensuring alignment with internal governance and public sector procurement regulations.
  • Maintain documentation and approvals throughout the contract lifecycle, from initiation to renewal or replacement.
  • Strategic Communications
  • Collaborate with communications teams to develop proactive and reactive strategies addressing legal and commercial developments.
  • Draft and refine “lines to take” for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities, tailoring messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Operational Support
  • Take accurate meeting notes, track actions, and maintain records using SharePoint and other internal systems.
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance, escalating issues and proposing solutions where necessary.
