Locum Planning & Highways Solicitor – North West Local Authority

Vivid Resourcing are currently partnered with a North West local authority seeking an experienced Locum Planning & Highways Solicitor to join their legal team on an interim basis.

Key Details:

• Rate: Above market rates (DOE)

• Location: Remote working – attendance for committees once a month preferred

• Start: ASAP

• Contract: Initial 3–6 months, likely to extend

Responsibilities:

• Handling a varied caseload of planning and highways matters

• Drafting and negotiating Section 106, Section 278, and Section 38 agreements

• Attending and advising at planning committees (remote and in-person)

• Liaising with officers, developers, and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with recent local government planning and highways experience

• Strong working knowledge of Town & Country Planning Act, Highways Act, and Local Government legislation

• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality advice under minimal supervision
