Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer – Up to £60 per hour umbrella – Remote – 15 hours


Venn Group’s specialist legal team is currently working with a Local Authority to recruit a Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer to support a busy and collaborative legal team.


The Role:

Position: Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyer
Rate: Up to £60 per hour umbrella
Duration: Initial 3 months with the likelihood of extension
Location: Remote working, with initial office attendance required to collect equipment
Hours: 15 hours per week


Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on and draft a variety of commercial contracts, including building contracts, grant agreements and JCTs
• Provide support on procurement-related matters
• Deliver clear, pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders


About You:
• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with strong commercial contracts experience
• Previous local government experience desirable but not essential
• Strong drafting and advisory skills with recent experience in contracts and procurement
