A highly reputable Local Authority in the East of England is seeking a Democratic Services Manager to join the team on an interim basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and growing team on a full-time basis. It is a hybrid working position with working from home available.

The Democratic Services Manager role

Key duties of the Democratic Services Manager will include:

  • Line management and supervision of the committee and elections teams
  • Operational management of the committee and election teams and support on strategic management
  • To mentor and support the Committee & Electoral Services Manager

About You

The organisation is looking to hire a Democratic Services Manager who demonstrates:

  • Significant experience in democratic services at a senior level with Regulatory and Scrutiny knowledge
  • Experience in managing committee and election teams
  • Ability to coach, mentor and support the Committee & Electoral Services Manager as well as taking the lead on implementing good practice
