Criminal Prosecutions Lawyer

Rate: £55 - £60 per hour (umbrella/interim)

Location: South East

Working: Hybrid

About the Prosecutions Lawyer Role:

Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Prosecutions Solicitor to join a local authority based in the South East. The role will be for an initial 4-5 month period with a strong possibility of this being extended.

Key Responsibilities of the Prosecutions Lawyer role:

The successful Prosecutions Solicitor or Barrister will be able to 'hit the ground running' and manage their caseload of prosecution matters, which will include:

  • Primarily school attendance prosecutions, fly tipping, and blue badge offences
  • Special educational needs advice
  • General advice
  • Case-holding SEN tribunal appeals

You will need to be able to undertake advocacy in person once per week at the magistrates' court.

You must have a background in working in the public sector or local government.
