Disclosure Officer

Locum

£28/hr (umbrella)

About the Role:

  • Sellick Partnership is looking for a Disclosure Officer to join a large local authority. This is an exciting opportunity to join a competent and highly respected team.
  • Occasional office attendance is required for meetings

Key Responsibilities of a Disclosure Officer:

  • To assist the Legal Processes Officer throughout the investigation to ensure all reasonable lines of enquiry are identified and disclosure issues are raised alongside the investigation
  • Competence in working independently using an electronic case management system
  • Attend reviews with OIC and SIO, thereby demonstrating effective communication skills
  • Signing off documentation and ensuring case files have been assessed completely for disclosure
  • Responsible to the Team Leader, raising any concerns and reporting any issues with disclosure to the Legal Process Officer
  • Ability to work methodically and meticulously to ensure accuracy to fulfill the local authority's legal responsibilities

Desirable Skills and Requirements of a Disclosure Officer:

  • Previous knowledge and experience of CPIA Code of Practice
  • Previous experience as a Disclosure Officer
