About the Role:
- Sellick Partnership is looking for a Democratic Services Officer to join a friendly local authority. This is an exciting opportunity to join an highly respected team.
- Occasional office attendance is required for meetings
Key Responsibilities of a Democratic Services Officer
- To support the local authority with scrutiny, cabinet and council meetings and ensure all meetings are conducted in line with recent legislation
- To provide professional support to senior members, officers, and committees
- To competently manage agendas, reports, and minutes
- To advise on governance matters
- To carry out decision-making processes with competence
Desirable Skills and Requirements of a Democratic Services Officer:
- Previous experience working as a Democratic Services Officer
- Previous experience working in the public sector/local authorities
