Homelessness Lawyer

Sellick Partnership are proud to be recruiting for a Housing Homelessness Lawyer for a well-respected Local Authority based in Yorkshire.
The key responsibilities of the Homeslessness Lawyer will include;
Comprehensive understanding of the statutory responsibilities for local authorities in relation to Homeless duties
Familiar with handling legal challenges from homeless applicants, advocates and representatives
Provide support and advice to Team Leaders and Duty Managers in cases where legal challenges are escalated
Prepare correspondence (electronic and hard copy as appropriate) to respond to legal challenges
Handle telephone enquiries from applicants, advocates and legal representatives as appropriate
This is a full-time role and will be a project based role for 8 months. Candidates that have previous experience of working in a local authority dealing with homelessness cases are strongly encouraged to apply.
