Homelessness Lawyer

Sellick Partnership are proud to be recruiting for a Housing Homelessness Lawyer for a well-respected Local Authority based in Yorkshire.

The key responsibilities of the Homeslessness Lawyer will include;

• Comprehensive understanding of the statutory responsibilities for local authorities in relation to Homeless duties
• Familiar with handling legal challenges from homeless applicants, advocates and representatives
• Provide support and advice to Team Leaders and Duty Managers in cases where legal challenges are escalated
• Prepare correspondence (electronic and hard copy as appropriate) to respond to legal challenges
• Handle telephone enquiries from applicants, advocates and legal representatives as appropriate

This is a full-time role and will be a project based role for 8 months. Candidates that have previous experience of working in a local authority dealing with homelessness cases are strongly encouraged to apply.
