Locum Homelessness Lawyer – London Local Authority – Hybrid or Remote Working – £55–£65 per hour Umbrella – 3 Months+Venn Group is currently partnering with a respected Central London-based local authority to recruit a Locum Homelessness Lawyer on a temporary basis.
Details:- Job Title: Homelessness Lawyer
- Hourly Rate: £55–£65 per hour Umbrella
- Length of Contract: 3 months initially, with strong potential for extension
- Working Pattern: Full time
- Location: London Local Authority
- Hybrid Working: 2 days per week in-office preferred, though fully remote applicants will be considered
Duties/Responsibilities:The successful candidate will join a supportive legal team and manage a busy caseload of housing law matters, likely to include:
- Advice and support on homelessness issues and temporary accommodation matters
- Dealing with possession claims, disrepair, and related housing litigation
- Drafting legal documents and liaising with client departments
- Ensuring compliance with relevant housing legislation and caselaw
Preferred Experience:
- Strong background in housing law, ideally within a local authority setting
- Ability to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with homelessness legislation and housing litigation procedures
