Locum Contracts & Procurement Solicitor – North West Council – Remote – £60ph 

A local authority in the North West is looking to bring in a Contracts & Procurement Solicitor on a locum basis to support their legal services team. This is an initial 3-month assignment with the potential to extend.

Key Information:

• Start: ASAP
• ​Duration: 3 months initially (extension likely)
• Working Pattern: Remote
• Rate: Competitive, DOE
• Interviews: Thursday 12.06.2025

The Role:
You will assist the in-house legal team with a varied commercial workload, including:

• Advising on and drafting a broad range of contracts

• Supporting procurement processes and compliance

• Liaising with service departments across the council

• Handling work independently with minimal supervision

Requirements:

• Qualified solicitor or legal executive

• Previous local authority experience preferred

• Solid background in commercial contracts and public procurement

• Ability to hit the ground running on a broad range of matters
