Senior Litigation Lawyer (Locum)

Location:
Midlands 
Arrangement: Hybrid, 1-2 days/week in office (remote considered)

Contract: 3 months (minimum, potential for extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate: £50-£60ph
 

Panoramic Associates is recruiting an experienced Locum Senior Litigation Solicitor for our midlands based Local Authority client. This is an initial 3-month contract, with potential extension pending permanent recruitment. You’ll join a well-established legal team, and they’re seeking someone with a strong background in Civil Litigation. Ideally, candidates should be open to in-person hearings if required, though fully remote working could be considered for the right person.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload, with focus on housing disrepair cases
  • Handle adult social care debt recovery matters.
  • Provide expert legal advice on civil claims (housing, property enforcement, judicial review, ASB, licensing appeals, landlord/tenant, commercial leases).
  • Review and sign off work from paralegals, ensuring compliance and quality.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience: 5+ years advising councils on civil litigation, experience in housing disrepair and debt recovery matters.
  • Essential Skills: Willingness to handle housing disrepair cases; broad litigation expertise to manage diverse tasks.
  • Attributes: Proactive, adaptable, thorough, and confident to work independently on complex cases.
  • Qualifications: Qualified lawyer preferred
