SEND Lawyer

Sheffield (Local Authority role)

Initial 3-6 month contract

Rate: Negotiable, indicate rate sought

37.5 hours per week

We are looking for versatile Lawyers with a “can do” approach to provide legal advice and support on all aspects of special educational needs, to include but not limited to decision making, policy and procedure.

The candidate will need to have good technical knowledge and experience in special educational needs and be able to manage a varied caseload of SEND Tribunal appeals, including advocacy in case management hearings and final hearings in the First Tier SEND Tribunal, with minimum supervision.

The candidate must be organised and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision while still being a valuable team player.  The candidate must also have excellent communication skills enabling them to build strong relationships with clients.
