SEN Education Locum
100% REMOTE WORKING!
Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for an experienced Education Lawyer to pick up a caseload of SEN matters alongside some advisory and policy work.
The successful applicant will:
  • Manage a caseload of complex cases of SEN Tribunal cases
  • Undertake remote advocacy in case management hearings and final hearings in the first tier SEND Tribunal and will instruct counsel where appropriate
  • Act as point of contact on a variety of cases, to include taking instructions and providing advice, carrying out legal research, preparing applications, drafting of documents, instruction expert witnesses and attending meetings
  • Mentor and support the development of junior members of the team
  • Provide advice to clients in relation to educational change

In return you will join a cohesive and successful team of paralegals and lawyers. The role is well supported with the support of experienced paralegals.

Role requirements:

Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX qualified lawyer with previous experience in advising on SEN and wider Educational matters.

This is a long term role of 12 months +

There is scope for the successful applicant to step into a management position during the course of the contract if they demonstrate the willingness and aptitude for the role.
