Position: Prosecutions Lawyer
Organisation: London based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months ongoing contract
Working Pattern: Full time
Working Arrangement: Hybrid Working- Court attendance when required
Hourly Rate: Competitive Hourly Salary (DOE)
Venn Group’s legal team are working with a
London based Local Authority to recruit a
Locum Prosecutions Lawyer.
The ideal candidate for this role will be either a
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx with at least 2 years PQE who can demonstrate successfully handling a wide range of prosecution and criminal litigation matters in a local government setting.
Duties shall include:
- To support Senior Lawyers in delivering advice and legal support in the areas of criminal and local government law
- To conduct advocacy when required
- To liaise with lawyers, professional bodies, research institutions, and other external bodies when required
- To maintain effective relationships with client departments
- To handle licensing matters including Licensing Act 2003 and ideally sit as a legal adviser to Sub-Committees arising thereunder
