reputable London based Local Authority to recruit a
Locum Education Lawyer. The ideal candidate for this role will be either an experienced
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who has a proven track record of successfully handling a caseload of SEN appeals, providing general education advice and conducting judicial reviews. Having a strong working knowledge of key education legislation is required.
Duties shall include:
- To hold a caseload of SEN appeals, provide general education legal advice and conduct judicial reviews
- To ensure the timely delivery of effective legal services to the Council and its partners with maximum efficiency
- Work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- To provide support and guidance to junior staff in the team
