In the heart of England's countryside, where innovation meets tradition, South Oxfordshire and the Vale of White Horse District Councils continue on their transformative journey to build and support thriving local communities. At the crossroads of idyllic landscapes and a leading science and technology business cluster, we are in search of an exceptional leader.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you’ll be steering important decisions, overseeing our legal framework, and ensuring our councils act with integrity and transparency. As our statutory Monitoring Officer, you’ll ensure our actions are lawful and ethical, and play a pivotal and leading role in our corporate leadership team.
This is a role that will see you expand your abilities and provide you with rewarding opportunities.
Working with supportive and collaborative colleagues and members, you will navigate a work environment defined by a clear sense of purpose and a deep commitment to community - setting you up for success. You will bring a blend of legal expertise, innovation and strategic thinking. Importantly, your leadership style will mirror ours, with a commitment to people, inclusivity, continuous improvement, and our strong advocacy for all our communities.
