Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer

Locum Contract - Full time 6 months +

Rate - £36 PAYE - £50 Umbrella per hour

Annual equivalent of £69 - 75k

Central London, Hybrid-Working

A Commercial Contracts and Public Procurement Lawyer is required to join the Central Government team to provide high quality and cost effective Public Procurement services. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who has Public Contracts & Procurement Lawyer to join their Government team.

As a Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer, you will draft and advise on every part of the commercial process, from the commercial law implications of a policy, through to designing the appropriate commercial contract, ensuring that projects appropriately manage legal risk, that contracts are managed effectively, and that any disputes are resolved as effectively as possible.

The client is willing to consider candidates with 1.5 years PQE +

This will allow you to obtain great quality work experience, training and support within a central government body!

Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer

  • Advising on contractual agreements
  • Dealing with Commercial contracts, procurement, Production and distribution, data and information management, IT, Technology, Construction, Intellectual Property, Public Law, Grants
  • Dealing with public procurement matters and frameworks.

Required Skills and experience of the Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer

  • 2 years PQE +
  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister (or equivalent)
  • Commercial Contracts and Procurement experience - preferably in one of the areas outlined above
  • Ideally public sector experience but would consider private
  • Would need to be operating within IR35
