Locum Commercial Contracts & Procurement Solicitor – up to £60 per hour – North East and North West

Venn Group’s specialist Local Government Legal Team are pleased to be recruiting for a number of Locum Commercial Contracts Lawyers to join Local Authorities in the North West and Yorkshire, on a fully remote basis. Contracts will be for an initial period of 3 months, with a strong possibility of extension. 

We are ideally seeking candidates on a full-time basis, however part-time applicants will be considered for all positions.

   The workload will involve:

• Providing advice and assistance on all legal aspects of procurement, tenders and contracts including interpretation, drafting, contract management, disputes, and termination

• Providing expert legal advice and support on a variety of commercial contracts and procurement matters and negotiating funding agreements
• Providing legal advice and representing the Council’s clients with any contractual matters

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEX with Commercial Contracts and Procurement experience within a Local Authority setting.
