Contract (3 months initiall with the view to extent) and Full-Time
Primary Industry: Legal
Job Duties:
- Represent clients in civil litigation cases in court
- Provide legal advice to clients on civil matters
- Draught legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Attend court hearings and trials
- Manage and supervise junior legal staff
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified solicitor with a valid practising certificate
- Demonstrable experience in civil litigation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Experience: Civil litigation
Knowledge and Skills:
- Thorough understanding of civil litigation procedures
- Proficiency in legal research and writing
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
- Strong advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a local authority
This role may require occasional travel for court appearances and client meetings. The working hours are typically standard office hours, but flexibility may be required to meet deadlines and attend court hearings.
