Locum Homelessness Lawyer – Predominantly Remote Working – up to £45 per hour – Midlands
 
Venn Group’s specialist legal team are pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Homelessness Lawyer to join an excellent Public Sector Organisation in the Midlands.
 
This assignment will be for an initial period of 3 months contract subject to a likely extension thereafter. The ideal candidate would work full time on a predominately remote working basis with occasional office required a few times over three months and IT equipment to be collected on the first day.
 
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and will have a broad working understanding of Homelessness matters to deal with a varied caseload.
 
Duties may include:
•              Work within the Housing team, solely dealing with Homelessness matters
•              Manage Homeless Law’s casework, including by delivering high-quality legal advice
•              Draft and organise homeless applications
•              Deal with a caseload of Judicial Review cases issued by individuals in relation to homelessness appeals for partner Councils
•              Attending meetings 1-2 times over the three months period
 
An attractive hourly rate of up to £45 per hour Umbrella is offered for this position dependent on experience.
 
This is a great position for those looking to gain experience of working in the Public Sector as previous experience is desirable but not essential.
