Job Description:

Position: Childcare Locum Solicitor

Location: Remote working

Rate of pay: £45 - £55 per hour OUTSIDE IR35

As an in-house Childcare Locum Solicitor (or equivalent) you will be preparing and advising on a variety of Children's cases for your client and will be supported by a team of excellent paralegals. The level of support offered is unrivalled by neighbouring organisations and aids the smooth running of cases. You will be involved in challenging and rewarding work; work that will give you the satisfaction of accomplishment that comes from helping vulnerable children and their families.

You must have the ability to deal with a complex and demanding caseload, with excellent client care skills, and an eagerness to provide a high-quality service to our clients and local community. There is an expectation to conduct advocacy on cases, which is supported by training and guidance from experienced managers. Your experience may have been gained from within a childcare setting within a local authority. Alternatively, this role would be well suited to a candidate from private practice who is seeking to move in to the local government arena and gain a 360 degree view of Children's Law.

With lap tops and mobile phones available for all, this this role can be undertaken entirely from home. My client offers flexible working hours and are open to considering part time working.

The successful candidates will have some working knowledge of childcare law. You will be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister/Legal Executive with a current Practising Certificate.
