Locum Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer –  South East England - Competitive Salary (DOE)  – Fully Remote Working
 
Position: Locum Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer
Organisation: South East based Local Authority
Duration: 3 months ongoing contract
Working Pattern: Full Time
Working Arrangement: Fully Remote Working
Hourly Rate: Competitive Salary (DOE)
 
Venn Group’s specialist public sector legal team are in partnership with a Local Authority based in the South East of England to assist in their search for a Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer on a locum basis
This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer who is looking to further their commercial contracts and procurement career within local government and the ideal candidate with be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx with at least 5 years PQE
 
Duties Shall Include:
  1. Subsidy Control
    • Proficient in drafting and advising on Grant Agreements
    • Skilled in navigating complex subsidy control regulations to ensure compliance
  2. Procurement and Contract Law
    • Experienced in procurement processes and contract law principles
    • Capable of providing sound legal advice on procurement procedures and contract negotiations
  3. Construction Contracts
    • Familiarity with construction contracts, including JCT minor works and related agreements
    • Able to provide legal guidance on construction-related matters, ensuring contracts meet legal requirements and protect stakeholders' interests
 
The role of Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer comes with a competitive hourly rate and gives the right candidate an opportunity to grow their legal repertoire. Local Government experience is essential to this role but candidates with extensive non Local Government experience are welcomed to apply for this role
