Position: Adult Social Care Lawyer

Duration: 3-month contract

Hourly Rate:  Highly Competitive hourly rate

Venn Group’s legal team are working with a forward thinking Local Authority based in the South East to assist with recruiting a Part time Adult Social Care Lawyer.
 
The ideal candidate for this role will be either a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx who has proven experience of undertaking a wide range of  Adult Social Care work and has local authority experience.

Duties shall include:

1. Providing legal advice focusing on Court of Protection work as well as matters such as ordinary residence,  Care Act 2014, funding disputes and Mental Health Act 1986 queries
2. Drafting and responding to court applications to the High Court and Court of Protection
3. Instructing counsel for court proceedings
4. Conducting professional meetings
5. To ensure that all work is carried out to the standards required by the arrangement with the client and by any policy or practice management standards
