£51,282 - £56,184 per annum

Are you looking for a new and exciting challenge, where you will be instrumental in setting up and managing contracts as the Legal Advisor to the Procurement team?

If you have a good knowledge of contract law then you could be the person we are looking for.

In this role you will be responsible for drafting the terms and conditions for our procurement contracts and linking in with various departments within Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary to ensure that the legal requirements for both new and existing contracts are satisfied. You will manage the legal negotiations with suppliers including disputes, should they arise, thereby ensuring the smooth delivery of goods and services; and advise on the requirements of the procurement legislation and compliance with local Contract Standing orders.

Whether you have a law degree or a wealth of experience as a solicitor this could be the role for you and we will support further training for the successful applicant.

Essential Qualifications

Educated to QCF Level 6 ie holding a law degree and/ or, a practicing solicitor or barrister with knowledge of contract law

Essential Experience

  • Knowledge and application of contract law
  • Proven negotiating and problem solving skills
