Job Description:

Are you a qualified solicitor (or due to qualify in the next 8 weeks) and who has experience in housing management or is looking to develop your litigation skills in a niche area of law? Due to continued expansion, Cobb Warren has a vacancy for a Housing Management Solicitor.

You will handle a case load including:

  3. Possession claims;
  4. Anti-social behaviour claims;
  5. Advising on policy matters.

You will also assist the partners and other members of the team in managing complex and contentious matters.

Our clients are predominantly registered providers of social housing which will give the successful applicant experience in dealing with, and advising on, public law and Equality Act and human rights issues.

There will also be an opportunity for the successful applicant to undertake advocacy.

The ideal applicant will:

  1. Have a desire to learn;
  2. Have experience, or an interest, in litigation;
  3. Be proactive;
  4. Have experience in managing their own caseload;

In exchange, we offer:

  1. A competitive salary;

  3. A stakeholder pension (where we contribute a higher rate than the legal minimum);
  4. A bonus scheme;
  5. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays;
  6. 2 extra paid days off for volunteering leave (to enable you to give back to the community or any charities of your choice).

To apply, please send a covering letter (limited to 2 pages) and a CV (limited to 4 pages) to Daryl Bigwood (daryl.bigwood@cobbwarren.com).
