We an exciting opportunity to join Bevan Brittan's market leading local government team. Our team are ranked number 1 in both the major legal directories: Chambers and Partners and Legal 500.

We are looking for a new team member in our Bristol Commercial and Infrastructure Department, focussing on the full spectrum of local government projects, working with Local Authorities, private sector organisations supporting the Local Authorities and various third sector clients. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for working with the public sector, to support and achieve our clients objectives; you will also need a strong knowledge and understanding of commercial contracts (drafting, interpretation and negotiation) as you will be supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects and service provision.
 
If you are interested in joining the team that:
 
- Are market leaders advising councils across the country on setting up new children's trusts (including Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council).
- Acted on the Birmingham Smithfield regeneration scheme, creating 3,000 jobs in an integrated property and transport development.
- Advised on Icknield Port Loop, a 43 acre site for new homes and open spaces.
- Advised on the historic Roundhouse Birmingham restoration – a pioneering partnership between the Canal & River Trust and the National Trust, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, to bring an important landmark back to life.
- Act for every Local Authority in England (over 300), also on the NPSWales framework.
- Support our clients with their strategic roles and repositioning of councils including governance and constitutional issues.
