We provide strategic and professional advice and services covering all aspects of local government law.
 
We currently have exciting opportunities to join our dynamic and growing team during a period of significant transformation and major project delivery within the Councils supported by the Legal Partnership.
 
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Solicitor specialising in commercial property and with a good understanding of wider local government property law – we want you to join our dynamic and growing team to assist in the delivery of a number of interesting, high profile and exciting major projects including new town proposals, the development of a commercial airfield and employment/ enterprise zones and innovative and challenging regeneration schemes, together with a growing retail and business portfolio across both Councils  This post will have a focus on commercial property and major project support, working in conjunction with the procurement and corporate teams. You will also be required to provide additional ad-hoc support across the full range of services offered to both Councils.
 
To be successful you will be a practicing Solicitor or Barrister with 3+ year’s PQE together with strong advocacy, negotiating and advisory skills and competence with IT and case management systems. In addition, you will have an enabling, positive approach to finding solutions to complex problems. Good appreciation of risk management and working flexibly across a multi skilled team supporting colleagues regardless of speciality is essential.
