Supporting the Commercial Contracts and Procurement team, our close-knit unit of 12 enjoy working across a plethora of fascinating projects. Taking on tasks that are as challenging as they are career-defining, our people advise on complex large-scale Projects that enable the departments to achieve their ambitious targets.
 
We currently have a number of roles available within our friendly team, with the remit of providing commercial advice relating to contracts, procurements, shared and traded service models and company secretarial services. Our roles offer the unique level of support that comes with this team and provides a valuable opportunity to further your career in our well-respected team.
 
Managing members of the team, you will ensure exemplary legal services are being provided. Advising on complex legal matters and allocating resources, you will share your expertise and develop the skills of junior team members. You will also promote a commercially-minded culture in which opportunities will be explored and new clients will be secured. This is an important period of transformation for us, so you will establish the relevant cultural and behavioural change.

As a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent, with extensive post-qualification experience, you will ideally have recent relevant experience of working in local government or another public sector authority (though this is not strictly necessary) in the area of commercial contracts and procurement law.
 
We will expect you to have the capacity to think analytically and take a creative approach to solving problems and be customer-focussed with excellent negotiating and influencing skills. You will also have a good awareness of current legal issues, and your business and financial acumen will be exemplary.
