LGSS Law Ltd is an innovative social enterprise law firm providing legal services to the public and not for profit sector. We have grown significantly in recent years and in addition to our head office in Huntingdon, we have branch offices in Cambridge, Northampton and Shefford. We pride ourselves on giving high quality, comprehensive and affordable advice to our many clients, who include local authorities, health bodies, charities, schools and housing associations across the region.

Due to the rapid growth of the business we are currently recruiting for several exciting opportunities within our contracts and procurement departments.

Principal Lawyer:  We are looking for a proactive and self- motivated Lawyer to lead and develop a highly regarded team of lawyers, paralegals and trainee solicitors within LGSS Law Ltd. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of commercial matters such as contract, procurement and company law. The role requires proven ability to lead and motivate others and a commitment to working for clients in the public and not for profit sectors as well as an enthusiasm for the challenging and rewarding diversity of work the role brings.

The role is based primarily at our head office in Huntingdon but will also involve regular travel between our three branch offices and client sites as necessary.

Public sector experience is highly desirable however those with public law experience from within private practice are also encouraged to apply. If the chance to play an integral part in this increasingly interesting but challenging area of law excites you, we would like to hear from you.

Lawyer/Paralegal: We are seeking to recruit a Lawyer and a Paralegal to join the team.  This will be a person with some experience and knowledge of procurement and contracts legal work. You will be closely supported by one of our present Lawyers or the new Principal Lawyer.

The applicant will be responsible for advising clients on procurements and outsourcing and supporting clients in establishing Companies and Trusts to undertake services on behalf of Local Authorities. The applicant will also have to undertake work involving the establishment of Academy Schools, and some construction contract work.
These roles can be based in Huntingdon, Northampton or Shefford, but with travel to other branch offices as required.

For all posts, in return for commitment and hard work we offer an exceptional opportunity to develop your career at the forefront of innovation in legal services delivery. We provide a flexible, modern working environment equipped with the technology needed to enable you to balance the pressures of a busy role. We also offer an attractive package of financial and other benefits.
